Founded as a golf club in 1927, Greenwood Country Club is one of the oldest private clubs in the country. Designed by legendary course architect George Cobb and host to many prestigious events, past and present, Greenwood Country Club is widely thought to be one of the best layouts in the state of South Carolina. The 18 hole course, made up of Cedar and Lake nines, plays longer than its 6,800 yards from the back tees. Though most holes have generous landing zones off the tee, heavy greenside bunkering and firm, fast greens place a premium on well placed approach shots. The course is a classic Cobb design that is fun for the recreational player, while also challenging the elite golfers shot-making ability. With 6 sets of tees and new TifEagle greens that are exceptionally well conditioned, Greenwood Country Club will not disappoint any golfer, of any skill level.
